[it makes sense for shiro like this; it's an alien planet, and though many of the people here look human, there is no doubt that a good percentage of them are aliens--of different worlds. knowing that URSULA was at the most human-made will make understanding the AI a lot simpler.]

If I were, I would have picked a different crew initially. Not that there's anything wrong with any of you! But the overall focus on my mission has been a little... hmm... lacking?

As you said, perhaps this crew is not entirely used to the kind of situation where they have to work towards a bigger goal from scratch. It can be daunting and easy to lose focus after a while.

You let me know what you need, and I'll try and rally everyone to work on it along with everything else that needs doing around here.

You'd really be willing to do that for me? I don't expect them to terraform the entire planet! But we nee a few landmasses to start off so more crews can come and begin the real work. We're only supposed to be a beginning.

I have to admit, I'm not a scientist nor a researcher, so there's probably more to this than what I can tell from a quick glance. This planet having unknown threats and dangers will stall progress if we're not prepared for those. I can imagine there might be several setbacks.

Besides, it's not a big crew at the moment, is it? I've seen children around, too. We have to work with what we have.

How much do you know about this planet. Do you have radars, to locate our surroundings, or is that something we need to work on as well?

My range has increased since my coding was cleaned up but it's still only a several miles. I have data from previous crews and their exploration. Most of what I do compile comes from outside research by crews! It's unfortunate but I wasn't built to monitor very far outside the base. My concerns are generally supposed to be the crew themselves.

If you would be so kind, I would love that. Do you know what your arm can do? If it's alien technology I mean.

Simply put? It works as a weapon, either by generating heat or becoming near indestructible to cut or punch through things. It doubles are information storage, too. At least that's what I have found out so far.

Oh my, that's exciting! I think it is, at least, but then again I myself am technology. I wouldn't wish for the ability to harm, though. But more storage is always nice.

I'm sorry, that wasn't really related. What I meant was if you wished to hook your arm up to my databases, that should be all right. I don't think Dirk would mind.

I'll ask Dirk for advice on the matter, though I'll be better for you in terms of physical work around the base. As promised, I'll check out the situation and try to rally everyone once I've done some observing.
