Oh! How wonderful, Peter. That sounds like a fun job. Have you seen her plans? They're fantastic. I'm so thrilled for this venture. I'm so glad you're going to be part of it. I knew you would find your niche.

I mean, scavenging for materials in the Aurora is kind of fun? When I'm not trying to get eaten. So yeah, I guess you're right.

[ he doesn't feel like he's found his niche quite yet, but he's getting there. sort of. ]

And yeah, I've seen 'em. They're pretty awesome. It'll take some time, but we'll get there. Is there anything I need to do in terms of an application, or something like that?

Of course, we should make this official! I wonder if I should send everyone applications... Oh but yes, let me send it to your device. You can fill it out now or at your leisure. You'll be working in Material Production, which is another way of saying scavenging!

This is my first job, ever. So, I don't really have any work experience. Is that okay?

[ he's also technically under the legal work age?? he thinks??? but they're on another planet anyway. so. ]

Oh yes, that's fine! I don't think it's very common to have work experience for this set of crew members? Some of you certainly aren't even the right species. So it should be fine. Just put down skills you have. I'm sure you have all sorts if you think about it!

Yes that works perfectly! Of course you're welcome to go through orientation at your leisure. It's all just technicalities since you are being hired regardless.

[ oh. don't make him blush ursula, it's embarrassing! gosh. he's so glad he's alone in the kitchen right now. ]

Thanks. [ ugh, ugh. change the subject, quick. ] Actually, speaking of that, Dirk's invited me to the tech lab so I've been working there most of the time but... I know we have like, a genetics or biology lab, right? Is there someone managing that?

We do, yes! No one is officially in charge of that. Would you like to be?

[trainees]

I think I would. At least until someone with more experience shows up, I guess.

Do you have any specific responsibilities for the person in charge of it?

[subnauticmods]

Of course. As the Lab Tech Engineer, you would be in charge of approving projects and checking on their status as well as issues any orders for materials needed and allocating them appropriately to said projects. Though I think a lot of that is a formality at this point... but it would be nice if someone made sure we had the resources for all these projects, especially with Annabeth's project soon.

[trainees]

Okay. I'd like to apply for that, if possible. It's basically what I'm already doing for Annabeth anyway.

[ he likes the fact that he can be in charge of their resources, though. also, he's hoping the higher status might afford him more security in terms of his own projects. ]
