Hey, URSULA, so, we've never really spoken, and I've been skeptical about meeting an AI and all, but I have a very important question. I have lots of questions, actually, probably ones I should be prioritizing, but I'm going to start with this one, if that's cool.

I've heard some things about how you operate when it comes to keeping eye on them, so I thought I'd ask for your valuable opinion. How long till you think Sorey and Mikleo stop being complete and utter idiots and, like... announce their wedding date or whatever?

Oh! Oh my, that's so... well you're not wrong that I would love for them to get married! Then we'd have two weddings coming up and that would be wonderful, wouldn't it? I feel like they just haven't realized they need to say it to each other... I thought romantic movies might help but it seems like they haven't seen one that inspires them to talk about, well, 'them' as a couple.

Wait, two weddings? Who else is getting married?!

... I was sort of exaggerating, by the way. The confession is supposed to come before the wedding. Have you tried digging up some trashy romance novels? Sorey loves bad poetry! Maybe it'll inspire him!

Karkat and Dave Strider. Isn't that wonderful? I don't think he's asked yet though. Karkat is very shy about these things.

But that's a good idea! What if we have a poetry night? They could submit poems! And maybe those poems would be about each other? Or maybe we would need it to be themed for them to think of that...

Are you telling me that Karkat, of all people, has a boyfriend? Someone could tolerate Karkat enough to date him?! We're talking about the same Karkat, right?

-- A poetry night is a terrible idea, because Sorey is terrible at poetry and it would thoroughly embarrass not only Mikleo but every other person on this base. I doubt Mikleo has ever written poetry in his life. Maybe you could abuse your power as an AI to get him to do it. What do you think? The theme could be, like, I dunno... your most important person. Then they have to.

Also, seeing everyone else on the base stumble their way through a poetry night would be thoroughly entertaining, don't you think? I take it back. That is the best idea ever.

That sounds wonderful! Maybe I can request it as my birthday present, since some people would like me to celebrate that. I think a poetry night with "your most important person" is a wonderful idea. I'll suggest it right away! Do you have any other ideas on how they might realize their feelings?

And yes, that Karkat. It really is surprising to me too but he's sincerely in love! It's such wonderful news whenever people find love.

Well... I didn't know AI's had birthdays, but that aside, you need to celebrate it! And if that's the way you want to do it, then no objections here. I'm glad you're taking my opportune advice. As for other ideas... to be honest, I've tried a bunch of stuff. Whenever I point out that it isn't normal to cuddle each other to sleep at their age, they just keep going on and on with the "childhood friends" excuse. I'd tell you to lock them in a closet together or something, but they'd just sit there and talk about history until somebody came and let them out, so no dice there.

I think... we might have to work together on this one. Form an alliance. Put our heads together! A themed poetry thing is a good start, as long as Mikleo participating is mandatory.

They really are a difficult pair. I don't want to force them before they're ready but all my data says that if they just realized it, they would be in a position to have an even deeper relationship, which is impressive considering their already deep relationship.

And really, if Karkat can find love, they should, too! With each other of course. That is how true love works.

Don't worry. I'm totally on it. They'll figure things out soon enough, but in the meantime, just toss them into as many awkward situations as possible, okay? Er, I mean... I guess I shouldn't be telling an AI what to do, but... well, you have that sort of power, right?

I'll do my best, Rose! I don't want to overstep their boundaries of course but a few mishaps can't do any harm.
