PLAYER COUNT: 18/55

QUEUE

Subnautica runs on a player cap of 55 players as we feel this is the maximum number of players we can handle with this size of mod team. Applicants can submit at any time, but applications will not be judged until there are fewer than 55 players in the game. Applications will be judged on a first-come, first-serve basis. To be sure that applicants are still interested when a slot is available, we will contact them with a request to reply within 72 hours regarding their interest.

Please send us your application as a comment to this page! The subject line should be CHARACTER NAME | FANDOM | RESERVED/UNRESERVED. Put the OOC information in the first comment. Reply to that comment with the rest of the information or a link to your app.

OOC INFORMATION
NAME: It's you!
AGE: Are you older than 18 Y/N
PREFERRED CONTACT: Plurk? PM? Skype? Email? Whatever you want people to use
CHARACTERS IN GAME: Put N/A if this doesn't apply

IC INFORMATION
NAME: The character's name as well as important nicknames or aliases
AGE: If their appearance vastly differs from their age (the old "10-year-old is actually 1,000") then mention it
CANON: Just what it says! If you're an OC, just put Original. If you're specifically going with manga or anime or a mix of medias assuming no contradictions also note that
CANON POINT: This only applies for canon characters. Just a simple "Chapter 23", "Episode 50", "Pre-[Specific Boss Battle]" will be enough.
CANON INFORMATION: A link to a wiki, fan translations or whatever will give us the background of the canon/character you're apping. If you're apping an OC, please summarize the world they come from and their role in it.

PERSONALITY: What drives your character? What do they fear? What do they believe in? What makes them angry? What makes them happy? If they're a coward, tell us why. If they're obsessed with cooking, explain how that impacts their decisions. We ask for several solid paragraphs at least that cover what's truly important about and to your character.

ABILITIES: Keep it short and sweet. Mention if you're depowering anything for the game. If they have special talents you think are worth mentioning that would apply to the game - a knack for building, swimming, cooking, biology, anything - then also put that here.

INVENTORY: Just a list here will be fine. Includes pets and anything noteworthy or of interest. Things like the clothes they're wearing don't need to be here but if you wish to list them that's fine.

MEMORY ALTERATION: Here you should describe how their memories have been altered to make them believe they came here willingly, accidentally, or by force. It should be as detailed or as simple as you need it to be to explain their arrival. If you are collaborating with a canonmate or even a cross-canon friend, please note it here so that we know toes aren't being stepped on.

SAMPLE: Link a thread within the past six months. It should be about 15 comments from your character displaying both a solid grasp of the character's voice and introspection. If you wish, you can also write up a sample, as long as it displays both of the requirements.

IC INFORMATION
NAME: Bolin
AGE: 20
CANON: Avatar: Legend of Korra
CANON POINT: Book Four: Balance, Episode 1
CANON INFORMATION: http://avatar.wikia.com/wiki/Bolin

PERSONALITY: Bolin is a carefree spirit that grew up on the streets of Republic City after his parents were killed by a fire bender mugger. Though his origins are less humble, Bolin shares little evidence of the rough past that his brother endured together as he boasts a consistent confidence in his words, even if those words are sometimes silly or full of naivety and optimism. It's difficult him to hold it against him for those qualities when he boasts such joy and enthusiasm in everything he does.

Bolin desires most of all to be satisfied, and to belong. While most of his decisions reflect a young adult following his heart’s desire and saying everything that he means, it also takes the form of some unscrupulous activities. For the most part, he's left such acts behind, but his latent stubborn nature and naivety to a comfortable and a seemingly 'good' situation often makes him blind to the harm he's partaking in. The most prominent example is ignoring the advice of those he cares about in favor of the good he can immediately see in the communities that Kuvira's army helps. This isn't entirely his fault, as he's a bad judge of gauging the emotions and motivations of others.

Particularly as he's grown older, Bolin is not afraid to fight or flex a bit of muscle if it can defuse a situation even though it is usually his last option. The fight against the Red Lotus and Amon's forces are great examples of the times that he has ignored any fear or anxiety of failure (Lacking mention of yelling his concern during a fight of course) in favor of giving it his all in a fight. There’s no such thing as half-degrees with Bolin either, whether it is a fight or any of his brief passions like pro-bending or acting. Despite this, up until he learned to Lavabend, he suffered anxiety and a lack of faith in his own abilities compared to those around him. Those fears have quelled significantly, but Bolin has not lost such fears.

Bolin is a very positive force in the lives of those that he does touch, but he is not without his problems. The anxiety of his skills is one of them and the repeat need for assurance from those that he cares about, but connected to that is his desire to be the center of attention when it comes to his brother and himself. Mako has always taken charge when it comes to their well-being, especially Bolin's. While he does love his bother unconditionally, Bolin can sometimes get rather competitive with his brother if he perceives that his brother is acting out of jealousy for his success. When he was performing as an actor and Mako was suspicious of Varrick, Bolin brushed it off as paranoia on the part of his brother. At the same time, he is rather gullible, especially if people help his ego along or are giving him something he wanted.

His faith in his own friends has faltered now and then, sometimes in the worst ways possible. That said, he has unconditional love for his friends and family. Mako, his brother whom even though is always giving him a hard time about his tendency to get into trouble, Bolin cares for very deeply since his sibling was always there for him and especially when it counts. Asami is a good friend and Bolin has risked his life to help her on a few ocassions and would still do so if it was needed. Out of all of them, she has the most patience for his antics and his friendship towards her reflects that gratitude. As for Korra, Bolin had an attraction to her from the moment they met and was very upset to learn that she did not feel the same way for him later. But, when all was said and done, he was delighted to have her as a close friend. He cares very fondly for Opal, though his relationship at this point in his story is strenuous due to his helping of Kuvira's army and the insistence from her and the others that Kuvira's methods are brutal and akin to a tyrant.

Fun, loving, naive with a penchant for getting himself into loads of trouble. Sometimes at the expense of others, but when it matters the most, Bolin is there to help and be the force needed to get things done.

ABILITIES: Earthbender: Bolin is a particularly talented Earthbender, a person capable of manipulating the element of Earth through discipline and strength. In recent years, he has learned the rare talent of Lavabending. Beyond just being able to control Lava, he is able to change the state of earth to and from it's molten form.

INVENTORY: His fireferret, Pabu. His clothes and small things like his money, and other things he would carry on his person.

MEMORY ALTERATION: As Bolin remembers, following some of his unification work in the Earth Kingdom as one of Kuvira's trusted soldiers, she had a special assignment for him. He was to take a group of soldiers, a boat, and venture to the sea to seek out URUSULA, a potential ally in the continuing mission to unite the Earth Kingdom. On the way there, they were beset by a storm and their ship capsized. He nearly drowned, but woke up aboard the URSULA sometime later.

IC INFORMATION
NAME: Dia Kurosawa
AGE: 17 (most likely)
CANON: Love Live! Sunshine!!
CANON POINT: Post Episode 13, Season 1
CANON INFORMATION: Here you go! I also referenced her TvTropes page when writing her personality, so this may also be helpful!

PERSONALITY: Dia Kurosawa is a dignified, proud young woman born to an old family with traditional values. She's has a fiery temper and presents herself assertively; but she's also very classy and speaks formally due to her upbringing. She does not tolerate sloppiness or imperfection, and can be quite picky when things aren't done properly; combine that with her hard-working nature, and she makes for the ideal Student Council President.

It's why she initially turns down Chika's proposal to form a school idol club at their school: there weren't enough members, they didn't have a solid plan...and at some point, once the club was established (which was out of Dia's control), they had made a fool of themselves, much to Dia's chagrin. Logically, her harsh attitude towards the club made sense, but there was a lot more to why she was so adamant towards the club.

Behind Dia's calm, somewhat cold demeanor is something deeper, rooted in her history that plays an integral role in her high school life: Dia is, in reality, extremely knowledgable about school idols, particularly the group μ's, which is the most renowned school idol groups of all time. She practically worships μ's and believes that no other group could be as great as them. Dia and her sister, Ruby, once fawned over school idols and dreamt of becoming ones themselves. While Dia was able to make her dream a reality, after her three-man idol group with her two childhood friends, Kanan and Mari, crashed and burned on stage, her dream went along with them...for more than half of the season.

In the first eight episodes, Dia is unable to let go of the past, which holds her back from following her real passion to become a school idol. While she doesn't bother to stop the girls from participating in a singing event in Tokyo, she warns Mari about their participation, bringing up the past and saying that Mari knows very well what will happen if they fail. This is the driving factor behind Dia's cold attitude towards Aquors: she knows how painful failure is and doesn't want the girls to experience the same thing.

Despite this, however, Dia still allows Ruby to become a school idol of her own choosing, showing that she cares a lot about her younger sister. She becomes a lot more gentle towards Ruby and drops the tough-girl act, as seen in this clip here. Before Dia joins Aquors, when Ruby worries about Dia being bothered about her being a school idol, Dia reassures her and tells her that it shouldn't matter what anyone else thinks, and even apologizes for giving Ruby a hard time. This shows that even though Dia was against being a part of the school idol club, she respected her sister's wishes, showing that she is capable of being selfless to tend to those she cares about.

Another example of her selflessness is shown in her friendship with Kanan and Mari. It's revealed that their idol group disbanded because Kanan didn't sing when they went to perform in Tokyo. Initially, the audience is lead to believe that the reason behind their failure in Tokyo was because they were overwhelmed by the other groups' performances before theirs, and Kanon froze up on stage. In reality, Kanan didn't sing because she didn't want Mari to perform with an injury. Thus, Kanan quit being a school idol to so Mari wouldn't turn down other opportunities because of their idol life, and Dia followed Kanan's decision. This shows that Dia was concerned for Mari's well-being and was willing to drop everything she cared about for Mari's 'own good'. Dia also refused to disclose the real reason why they disbanded until the time was right.

Furthermore, even though Dia had been harsh towards the school idol club before she joined, she always worried about the group and did little things that helped them succeed. In episode 3, Dia turned on a backup generator when the power went out during Aquors' first performance. Also, in episode 8, when the girls were disappointed that they did not receive any points in their first Tokyo performance, Dia comforted them and reassured them that they did not fail, despite her own past.

Dia's also the one who came up with the name "Aquors" for the group. She wrote it in the sand while the girls were figuring out a name, but ran away immediately when she heard them coming closer, not wanting them to know it was her. This was also the name of the three-man group Dia, Kanan, and Mari formed in the past.

After the conflict between the three of them is solved, they all join the club--Aquors--together and reaffirm their friendship. From then on, Dia is fully devoted to Aquors, even setting a rigorous training schedule for them during summer vacation so they can prepare for the Love Live! competition. She still retains the hard-working, mature personality she has from the beginning of the series, but she has a lot more energy and enthusiasm now that she's in a school idol group. More importantly, she's able to move on from the past and seek a new future with Aquors.

ABILITIES: Dia is an excellent singer and dancer: two traits required to be a school idol! She can also play the yamagoto, and is skilled in kitsuke, or the art of wearing a kimono.

For Subnautica, Dia can provide leadership skills. As long as she feels it's beneficial for the wellbeing of the base, she'll do what's asked of her, and will fight for a cause if necessary. Other than that, she...doesn't really have much else to offer. She's just an ordinary high school girl, after all!

INVENTORY:
- Her cellphone
- A μ's fanbook
- Her school uniform

MEMORY ALTERATION: Dia believes that she's coming to Iniidae for an opportunity to film an underwater PV, suggested by Chika.

SAMPLE: Hell actually exists in the form of an underwater base on Iniidae.

Dia likes order. She is a perfectionist in its truest form, picky about the smallest of details and experienced in (trying to) keeping others in check. She is the student council president of Uranohoshi Girls' High, after all, and she is fully committed to the role and its responsibilities.

Needless to say, when she arrives on base and realizes just how disgusting, unorganized and chaotic everything is around here, Dia feels herself approaching a meltdown. It's almost as if nobody here has cleaned in their entire life, which is extremely appalling, especially since they're in such a confined space. They can't afford to be living like animals; not if Dia can help it.

She spends the entire evening upon her arrival creating a cleaning schedule, jotting down notes on her cellphone. Everyone's going to play a part in keeping this base tidy, and she's going to make everyone work. This base is theirs--or perhaps URSULA's, she's not sure--either way, they need to make a collaborative effort to take care of it and take care of one another. In her mind, everyone will take turns each week--knowing the people on this base, asking them to clean every week may be too much of a chore--and since there are a lot of people present, everyone will only need to be on cleaning duty once a month or so. It's perfectly reasonable in her head and if anyone has any complaints, then she will welcome them to write up their own proposal on how to get things done more efficiently.

For now, however, Dia will rightfully claim her throne as HBIC. Because someone has to do it. They'll thank her for this later.

The next morning, Dia marches confidently to the kitchen with a group of papers in her hand. She made a magnet with the fabricator--look how prepared she is. She plasters the papers, neatly stapled together onto the refrigerator with the magnet, the first page of the papers reading "CLEANING DUTY" in bold, neatly handwritten font.

Immediately after posting the notice on the fridge, Dia pulls out her device and holds it up. She could very well send a mass text message about this, and she definitely will at some point, but she wants people to pay attention. She's very good at being demanding and bossing people around, so it would only be appropriate to use those particular skills here! (She hasn't figured out how to use telepathy just yet.)

Dia inhales before clicking on the device, speaking into the mic: "This is Dia Kurosawa. Frankly, I am very disgusted with how much of a mess this base is. We are not wild beasts; we are perfectly capable of taking care of ourselves and keeping this place tidy!

"That is why I have decided to begin a cleaning regiment. For those of you who are adverse to cleaning, do not fret, because my schedule only requires each person to clean once a month, so there should be no excuses for why you are unable to perform your cleaning duties. Do your part in keeping everything organized. Thank you."

She ends the feed, a triumphant smile appearing on her lips, fully prepared for any weak arguments anyone may have to offer. Bring them on.

(I also have some threads here, here, and here!)

IC INFORMATION
NAME: Allumette Honeycutt, "the Strategist"
AGE: 23
CANON: Final Fantasy XIV
CANON POINT: Heavensward, patch 3.4 "Soul Surrender"
CANON INFORMATION:
There are a couple of links to the XIV storyline. Since Allu comes from near the end point in an expansion, I will link both the base game's storyline and the expansion's. Fair warning that these are quite long. I'm willing to fill in/answer any questions on this.

A Realm Reborn pt.1, A Realm Reborn pt.2, Heavensward pt.1, and Heavensward pt.2.

The Lore Train has only covered up to 3.3, however, so I will detail 3.4's story as concisely (and objectively, using Warrior of Light instead of Allu) as possible.

3.4 regales us with the tale of the Warriors of Darkness. Alisaie, Alphinaud's twin sister that has been missing in action for a majority of Heavensward is found, and is gravely injured by one of the Warriors of Darkness (WoD for the duration of this summary). They end up beating the WoD to the punch, cutting the Ixals before they can summon Garuda in earnest—and so meet the WoD in person. The WoD proclaims that they mean to bring about the next Calamity and that they will do whatever it takes to join the two worlds together once more.

Alisaie's condition is found to have improved over the while they were gone, tended to by the best healers that Ishgard could give her. With Alisaie in tow and Thancred letting the other Scions know about the plot concerning the beast tribes, they move back to the Waking Sands. Urianger, already there, lets it known that the next he has been following the WoD's movements and that the kobalds plan on summoning Titan, so that must be their next move.

Here, in the midst of stopping Titan, the Scions are stopped by a child kobald. The child, Ga Bu, relays that their parents were taken and that the beast tribes had received scores of crystals for the summoning. Upon confronting the kobalds summoning Titan, it is found that Ga Bu's parents were executed along with the other prisoners. Alphinaud tries to reason with the patriarch of the kobalds, to no avail—and, wrought with grief, Ga Bu cries out for his parents to wake up. The strength of his torment and the gathered crystals are enough to summon Titan.

Titan needs to be defeated, even when summoned by a child. Unfortunately, when we return to Ga Bu after defeating Titan, we find that while he's conscious, he may have been tempered, and those who are tempered are a threat. Alisaie stays with Ga Bu, hoping that he will recover. He seems to regain some semblance of self as Alisaie, Alphinaud, and the Warrior of Light are set to leave, leaving them with hope.

With the information that the crystals delivered to the beast tribes were from a Garlean spymaster, they head to the next group that was given crystals: the Ala Mhigan liberation. Quickly, they make their way to Ala Mhigo and come across rumors of a man called the Griffin, the leader of the revolution of Ala Mhigo. Here they find their remaining "lost" Scions: Yda and Papalymo. Yda and Papalymo are let in on what has transpired, and the two let them in on the business with the revolutionary front. Due to how fanatical the revolutionaries are, they may be planning to summon a primal in their own regard, and thus it's a cause for concern. When Griffin is confronted about this, he says that they were made for trade with the Amalj'aa—another beast tribe who would likely summon Ifrit.

With the Scions in tow, the group makes their way to Amalj'aa territory with the hopes of confiscating the crystals before a summoning can be performed. Nothing of the sort is afoot when they arrive, however—instead, upon further serach, there is only dead Amalj'aa. The WoD lie in wait, saying that slaying primals may not be the best way to usher in the next Calamity—but felling the Warrior of Light should. Thankfully, the Scions are quick to defend their ally, along with Alisaie, who joins the battle by wielding an aetheric blade. Almost at the mercy of the WoDs, who arrives but Urianger, having proven himself to manipulate the WoD. With the odds even, you are able to push back.

In defeat, the Warriors of Darkness reveal that they are in fact, dead—chosen Warriors of Light from another world, who had ushered ruin to their world regardless of what good they wrought. Their world is now engulfed in Light and lies destroyed. To try and save their world, they had no choice but to die and find another world and bring about its ruin, joining the two. Instead of letting them withdraw, the Warrior of Light raises her Crystal in turn and they are transported within the Mothercrystal for an audience with Minfilia. Hydaelyn hears the plight of the WoD, and says that she will take the overabundant Light of their realm to balance it once more. Urianger confesses to orchestrating the events leading to Minfilia's freedom, so she could prevent the world of the WoD's from falling. With the Warriors of Darkness saved and the realm safe, the Scions are returned to Amalj'aa territory.

With all of the Scions found and together, they are able to convene once again and talk about how they'll take on the events in the future together.

PERSONALITY:

First and foremost, Allumette Honeycutt does not have a clue what genre she's in. Allu knows the story unfolding before her is an epic tale, but she grossly misunderstands her role in it. Firmly believing that she's some sort of comedic relief off to the side, partly because she's a Lalafell (and no leading woman has ever been a Lalafell) and partly because she's never seen herself as doing anything other than protect her own, Allu lives her life without the stress of what she "needs" to be. She may be the Warrior of Light, but that means that the Warrior of Light is her, so she has no 'ideal' to live up to. No one will tell her what to do or how to do it on this path she's chosen to take.

Allu left her home in Crescent Cove to be an adventurer at the tender age of 21. She didn't dream of fame or glory or power; she simply had seen the growing number of bandits and ruffians that burst into the Cove's bar and thought that she'd had enough. She wanted to protect more—she already had the training of a pugilist thanks to one of the old men of the village. To protect her little home, she'd do just about anything. Her moral compass is incredibly strong, and while it may not always point the same way society does, she sticks to it. Killing is wrong, and she'd agree, but while Alphinaud had taken the stance to save Estinien, Allumette had already accepted that she would strike him down without mercy if need be.

With there being so many conflicts within Eorzea, there's got to be some you aren't willing to save. Like anyone else, Allu has her biases and preconceptions—when having visited Coerthas for the first time, for example, she initially wanted nothing to do with the land after having freed herself of it. When it asked for help and succor, not even Aymeric's pretty visage could sway her, and it was only the knowledge that if Ishgard should fall that Eorzea would not be far behind that had her giving in. That isn't to say Allu isn't empathic—even if she wasn't that by nature, upon being given the Echo, she's far more empathic than most would believe her to be. While some would think the various errands she's sent to do are far below her station, Allu enjoys it to some degree. It allows her to connect with those "below" her, to bolster their energy and hope. She loves the light in people's eyes when she talks to them kindly, adores being able to bring hope to those who might've already given up.

Her time as a Warrior of Light, however, has tempered her to be a leader. A leader has to make difficult decisions sometimes. Despite the fact that her heart may be screaming at her, Allu knows sometimes she must lay her arms down and accept defeat. These times, thankfully, are very few. Her title, "the Strategist" may seem odd to those who do not know her well, due to how hotblooded she can be in combat and how flippant she can be out of it. Make no mistake—she may consider herself 'comedic relief', but there is a reason she is the leader of the Embrace group and Crystalborn force.

She masks her intelligence fairly well. Allu knows that as someone largely skilled within the physical arts, she's supposed to be dim-witted, but arcanima (arcane academia, the trade that Summoners use) means that you're actually good at both strategy and numbers. This coupled with her artistic strengths in crafting means that Allu's fairly well-rounded mentally. Her somewhat abrasive personality and stubbornness instead are what get her down, as well as being easily susceptible to subterfuge. Once someone is loyal, Allu doesn't much question their motives, which proved to be part of her almost downfall when Urianger had played double agent. While Alisaie and several other members of Embrace had already suspected Urianger, Allu had been stern in thinking that Urianger was being all right and it was Alisaie who was acting odd. When resting and recuperating from wounds in Ishgard, she had expected no one would actually try to hurt her despite being a deciding factor—when her room was stormed and she was almost grievously injured, she had been taken by absolute shock.

Due to following her own moral compass, Allu is completely and totally taken aback when others don't follow her same morals. There are times where Allu is so keen on storming out several members have to hold her back because she refuses to do something, and some missions/quests that Allu just refuses to do out of sheer disgust for the populace. Her hypocrisy is also something to watch out for; she insists that her groups be open with her while she holds several secrets far away from any of their reaches. She even keeps a few secrets from her closest friends and wife. The few cards she holds close to her chest are long-running and secrets she does not plan on ever divulging, often for what she believes is the "good of my friends" or the like.

Her trademark is to 'leap before you think'--Allu is all in all the time. She's strategic, but she doesn't hold back and takes risks, often with her own life on the line before anyone else. She'll try something just to see how it works before backing away or making a decision. Not trusting (or relying) on others to do her dirty work for her, Allu prefers to keep her hands in as many pies as she can and experience everything herself before she comes to a consensus. If she's unable to, she turns to the people closest to her for guidance and their opinions. (Sometimes she ignores their opinions and keeps going with her own.)

Do not mistake Allu's generosity or kindness as weakness. She can be as childish as she can be noble, and often one mistake will turn her off completely from someone else and she will with until they've proven themselves worthy of her time before she allows it. She wants to see people change. Allu believes that everyone—including herself—is simply a work in progress. No one is truly 'done', no one is a true master, and she works to make herself better and better every day, to challenge her friends, to challenge her world to be better. She wants to leave Eorzea better than when she found it. Once she wanted to protect just her little home, and now she realizes that to protect it, she may need to help reshape it. Though it may be a tall order, she accepts the possibility.

ABILITIES:
As a Warrior of Light, Allu was given the Echo by the Mothercrystal Hydaelyn. This ability is a way to see into someone's memories and understand how they think, even when you can't understand what they're saying. This allows the bearer of the Echo a grand amount of empathy and knowledge. (Permissions page for the Echo are established.)

XIV has the job and specialist system, which makes it possible to be everything and anything within the game, to reasonable expectations. Jobs and specialists are denoted by soulstones. Due to the nature of some jobs (ie White Mage) wherein here is only one possible soulstone or title given, Allu is only a select number of jobs while having high-levelled classes.

She is a Dragoon, Summoner, and Astrologian. First and foremost, Allu is a Dragoon--she was given the title of Azure Dragoon when there was another one currently holding it, which is unprecedented, but given because she was able to beat the current Azure Dragoon. Being a Dragoon means that Allu is able to clear long and high distances, jumping high and striking down below with righteous fury. She is the strongest as a Dragoon, meaning her physical strength is her best asset.

As a Summoner, her mental ability is her best asset, able to call forth the forms of many primals she's defeated over her time and tap into the primal essence of the dreadwyrm Bahamut. As an Astrologian, she is able to harness the power of the stars and read their meanings through drawing cards, aiding her allies with healing magics.

Allu is also an omnicrafter/omnigatherer, meaning she can in fact craft and gather just about everything—but her main crafting classes are Weaver, Leatherworker, and Alchemist. She can outfit many things for people to wear and also make things such as potions or salves, or even poisons. These are her best areas and she can make a good deal outside of these, but intricate and advanced items are not her area. Making high quality items is labor-inducing and stressful, however. As a high-level gatherer, she can discern what to take from nature or how best to catch it, but most of what she's able to catch and gather is passable quality, not the good stuff.

INVENTORY:
1x Wondrous Tails book
1x Aether Compass
5x Savage Aim Materia V
1x Eternity Ring
1x Triple Triad Deck

MEMORY ALTERATION: Not collaborating with a canonmate—Allu believes she was sent on a mission by the Black Shroud's Order of the Twin Adder. This is the Grand Company (basically military) she's a part of, so she believes she was sent here willingly, having accepted the mission.

IC INFORMATION
NAME: King Asgore Dreemurr (King Fluffybuns, King Fluffyboy, Mr Dreamy, Gorey, Mr Dad Guy)
AGE: Literally thousands of years old; appears to be in his fifties or sixties.
CANON: Undertale
CANON POINT: Post True Pacifist End.
CANON INFORMATION: Undertale Wiki | Asgore’s Page

PERSONALITY: Asgore is a man with a lot of regret. After the death of his children, he declared war on the humans who had trapped his people underground and promised to break the barrier keeping them there. To do this, he needed seven human souls – which meant killing anyone who came into the Underground. At heart a gentle soul, he was pushed by anger to promise his people salvation he found he couldn’t actively pursue. This wracked him with guilt, but he doggedly continued to inch his plan along in the most passive way possible, alienating his wife and keeping his people in a perpetual state of false hope.

Nevertheless, his people love him. As Frisk travelled through the Underground, every person they encountered after Toriel was quick to tell them what a good man Asgore is. Papyrus refers to him as ‘a big fuzzy pushover’. Undyne sings his praises while calling him a ‘total weenie’. Monster Kid says that he came to their class and brought in flowers from his own garden for the children to study. Gerson refers to him as ‘Fluffybuns’ and laughed about him like an old friend teasing another. These are hardly the claims someone would make of a heartless child murderer, but rather a good man for whom everyone has affection. Every monster’s opinion of him made Toriel’s claim that Frisk would need protected from him seem more and more unlikely. It wasn’t until Frisk fought Mettaton that the idea of Asgore being a threat to them came back up, and considering Mettaton was trying to kill them, you could forgive many players for not believing him.

When Frisk finally arrived in Asgore’s throne, they were met with a man who was steeling himself to do something unspeakable. He hesitates in the throne room, and greets them kindly, albeit sadly. In fact, one of the first things he says upon realizing Frisk is human are ‘I so badly want to say, "would you like a cup of tea?" But... You know how it is.’ He doesn’t pretend to Frisk that he isn’t going to try to kill them. He is kind as he leads them to the barrier, and kind as he tries to reassure them as they approach – ‘How tense... Just think of it like... A visit to the dentist.’ It’s something unpleasant that must be done, and he tries to address that on a term he thinks a child can understand. And, finally, when he asks if they are ready, he smiles and says ‘I am not ready either.’ These are not the words of a brutal murderer or a cold-hearted killer. Despite the entire set up for the scene being Asgore telling Frisk that he is going to kill them and take their soul, he comes across as purely kind, gentle, and even fatherly. There is nothing threatening about him regardless of the setting.

The battle beings. He tells Frisk that it was nice to have met them, tells them ‘Goodbye’, and then breaks the MERCY option on their interface. Players up until this point have found a pacifistic reason to end any battle – even with Undyne, they realized that they could grant her mercy by escaping from the battle. Asgore breaks the user interface so that they can’t even do that. Frisk has no choice but to fight him or die. Their ACT menu, as with all bosses, does not give them a prompt that will result in the boss offering MERCY – but it does give us many prompts that tell us about Asgore. If you tell him that you don’t want to fight, ‘his hands tremble for a moment’ and ‘his breathing gets funny for a moment’. The third time – ‘recognition flashes in his eyes… ASGORE’S ATTACK dropped! ASGORE’S DEFENSE dropped!’. He emphatically does not want to fight Frisk. He forces himself to do it for the sake of his people. And if he does kill Frisk? Going back to the ACT menu when trying the fight again has him nodding ‘sadly’, ‘grievously’, and ‘pitifully’ when Frisk tells him how many times he has killed them. This is not a course of action he relishes, nor one he desires, but it is one he has convinced himself he must do.

When the human defeats Asgore, he admits to them that this is not what he wants. He doesn’t want to become godlike. He doesn’t even want to kill the humans who took everything from him and his people anymore – ‘I just wanted to give everyone hope…’ He begs Frisk to take his soul and pass through the barrier rather than remain and be killed by him.

There isn’t a wicked bone in Asgore’s body. However, he isn’t simply a caring king with a dark and bloody task to perform. The course of action he took – waiting for people to fall into the Underground and taking their souls then – is a long game. A long, arduous, and cowardly one. The barrier could let the combined power of a monster and human soul through. Had Asgore taken the first soul he collected, he could have passed through the barrier, taken six more, and then come back to free his people. His fault was kindness. His fault was meekness. His fault was that he couldn’t bear to take lives actively. He would rather kill any who fell into the underground – even children – until he had enough souls to break the monsters free than actively seek out death. It’s for this reason that Toriel, his wife, left him. She couldn’t bear to see him being so cruel out of kindness, nor so cowardly in the face of his proclamation. He loves and mourns for her leaving to this day – to the point that if you eat the butterscotch pie she gave you during his fight that he loses concentration and drops his attack and defence again. Seeing her again fills him with joy, even if she is harsh with him. He accepts her wrath – ‘I truly am a miserable creature’ – and understands that she doesn’t want to be with him as husband and wife again. He asks, hopefully, for friends, and when she refuses he is sad but accepts it. Family is hugely important to him. In fact, when he defeated, he says ‘I just want to see my wife… I just want to see my child’. His house is a memorial to them – Toriel’s room is locked and undisturbed. Asriel and Chara’s rooms are untouched, with their last presents to each other wrapped carefully on each other’s sides of the room. He kept a sweater that Chara may have made for him many, many years after Chara’s death. On Chara’s deathbed, he continuously told them to stay strong, to have faith and be determined – and it’s Asgore’s voice who coaxes the player to continue playing during every game over screen, too. He even tells Frisk that they could be a family when Frisk refuses to kill him and leave the Underground.

Even with his faults, there’s no mistaking why his people love him. When Undyne wanted to fight him to prove her strength, he all but adopted her and taught her how to fight. When she finally landed a hit on him, he was proud of her – and she didn’t feel good, showing that some of his pacifistic gentleness had rubbed off in his teachings. When Alphys was keeping the Amalgamates from their families, he found time between calling her for updates to give her a little teacup in the shape of a dinosaur. He might even be the Santa who leaves presents under the tree in Snowdin, considering that he has a Santa Claus outfit in his bureau. When the terrain of the Underground was too dangerous to traverse, he put steps into making it safer… even if the younger monsters (like Papyrus, for example) didn’t thank him for it! He is kind, he is loving, he is respectful, and even if he takes the longest possible route to freeing his people, he still devotes himself utterly to doing so.

He might not be the killer Toriel painted him as, but he’s not the ‘big fuzzy pushover’ he’s thought to be either. Asgore is a good man at heart, who, through his own rage and grief, pushed himself into a situation he deeply regretted, but was determined to see to the end.

ABILITIES: As with all monsters in the Underground, Asgore is able to draw a soul out a body and use magical attacks to damage it. While he’s able to use normal monster magic, he favours fire and the use of his magical trident, which he can summon out of thin air. He’s huge and hulking, but surprisingly fast and agile. His strength is impressive for a monster, and he seems to have some understanding of the resets and time loops that humans in his world can produce. Furthermore, he’s functionally immortal and won’t age.

INVENTORY: A pair of garden shears.
Golden Flower tea leaves.
A pink Hawaiian shirt.
His royal regalia.

MEMORY ALTERATION: Asgore came of his own free will, as a gesture of goodwill to the humans his people are trying to mingle with, to see if they could find out anything about a supposed call sent out from the planet.

Milla Maxwell | Tales of Xillia | Not Reserved

[personal profile] penumbreon 2016-11-12 07:08 am (UTC)(link)
IC INFORMATION
NAME: Milla Maxwell
AGE: 20
CANON: Tales of Xillia
CANON POINT: Immediately post-first game.
CANON INFORMATION: Wiki

PERSONALITY: First and foremost, Milla Maxwell is a woman of unwavering duty and conviction. She is Maxwell, the Lord of Spirits, and in her mind this title puts her in the unique position where she can take actions to protect humans and spirits alike. Milla places her duties as Maxwell above anything else in her life, and she never once questions her responsibilities as a protector. But that is the kind of person she is-- someone who, when she puts her mind towards accomplishing something, will never back down until her goal is realized. Even when it is revealed that Milla was not the true Maxwell, but a decoy created by Maxwell to distract Exodus, she remains true to her convictions and continues to fight for her ideals. It was those ideals that spurred her to become the new Maxwell at the end of the game, even when she could have restored her human body and gone to live in the human world with her comrades instead. Becoming Maxwell and remaining the overseer of humans and spirits required sacrifices to be made on Milla's part, especially since she had come to love and respect her traveling party so much. But she never once regretted those sacrifices, and she'll tell you herself she is proud of the choices she's made. After all. . . in Milla's mind, why make the choice to do something if you're uncertain about it? Uncertainty makes one weak.

While Milla's unwavering conviction and stubborn adherence to her goals makes her a force to be reckoned with, it also comes with some drawbacks. Because Milla is willing to do whatever it takes to continuously move forward and uphold her ideals, she has a tendency to leap rather recklessly into dangerous situations. There is a point at the game where she attacks one of the antagonists (King Nachtigal) with as much ferocity as she can muster, but winds up getting injured very badly in the process. There is also another point where she willingly sacrifices her life to protect her comrades and destroy the schism separating Rieze Maxia and Elympios to stop Exodus's plans. It isn't that Milla is willing to throw away her life so easily. . . on the contrary, she understands how important it is for her to remain alive so she can continue with her mission to protect. But she isn't willing to shy away from that mission just because it is rife with danger, either.

Milla is a strong woman who won't let a few drawbacks from said danger keep her down. Even after being injured to the point of where she can't walk, she refuses to give up and is willing to go through an incredibly painful medical procedure to get her legs working again. Someone can knock Milla down as many times as they want to, and she'll always get back up again.

And while Milla is a determinator through and through, this doesn't necessarily mean that she is unable to adapt or change her viewpoints to fit with an evolving situation. She is a perceptive and smart woman, and she understands that sometimes you need to reevaluate your plans in order to keep moving forward. As an example, at the beginning of the game Milla constantly reminds herself that she is Maxwell, and that Maxwell must remain alive at all costs. But when it becomes clear that dispelling the schism is how she can stop Exodus, and that Maxwell must die for the schism to disappear, and when the lives of her friends are in danger, she gives up her life even though it conflicts with her earlier thought processes. Milla may be stubborn and reckless, but she is at least willing to step back and change her approach when necessary.

Having grown up worshiped as Maxwell by the people of her home village, Nia Khera, Milla feels a bit of a disconnect from humanity. She confesses that she didn't have much contact with humans as a child, and most of what she knows about human culture she gained by reading human books (such as "A Mother's Eyes, A Mother's Touch" and "Men and Women Beneath the Sheets"). Despite her disconnect, Milla maintains a strong love for humans and humanity in general, referring to them as her "favorite animal" and taking a great interest in human culture and how human bodies work. But since her connection to human culture is so distant, Milla can be a bit. . . awkward. . . when interacting with other people. She talks happily about how wonderful it would be to experience a cold, and delights in spewing mucus all over the place when she sneezes. She attempts to cuddle with Jude when he is feeling down because she once read in a book that cuddling makes people feel better. And she pats the party's oldest member, Rowen, on the head to praise him while everyone looks on at her in confusion. Milla herself sees nothing wrong with these socially awkward behaviors, and she doesn't feel any shame even after people point out to her how strange they are. She's just trying to put the things she learned in human books to good use, that's all!1

One of the largest arcs Milla's character has in game is her struggle to understand human emotions, behaviors and idiosyncrasies on a more personal level that she couldn't glean from her books. At the very beginning of the game, the little socialization she had as a child is evident in the way she interacts with people. She comes off as cold and uncaring at times, focused on nothing more than completing her mission regardless if it means brushing off some of the distress of her party members. When she, Elize and their friend Driselle are taken hostage at Fort Gandala, she is unfazed by their captors' attempts to squeeze information out of her by threatening Elize and Driselle's lives. She proclaims quite proudly that she had no fear of death, injury or loss, and at that point? She didn't.

But Milla's time traveling with Jude and the others has had a profound effect on her. By allowing these people to teach her that compassion can go right along with conviction, by allowing herself to grow fond of Jude and to realize that he and the others were people she wanted to protect on a more personal level, separate from her mission as Maxwell. . . she finally experiences said fear of loss herself. Experiencing these emotions causes Milla to attempt to empathize with human emotions more than she had in the past. She even learns how to empathize with those who use Spyrix, the technology that kills spirits, when she realizes that many people need Spyrix in order to live with debilitating diseases. It's something she still struggles with, and sometimes she can still unintentionally brush off someone else's pain. But she is a determinator, after all-- she earnestly and sincerely reaches out in an attempt to understand as much as she can, even if she fumbles along the way.

And finally, Milla absolutely looooooves food. This quirk goes hand-in-hand with her fascination for how human bodies work, but the joy of eating was something she never experienced as a child because she obtained all of her sustenance from the Four Great Spirits. The pleasure of eating is possibly her greatest vice, and she will happily stuff her face with as much food as she can, whenever she can. She is quite the food connoisseur as well, capable of understanding the delicate intricacies of flavor, even though she herself has never cooked a single dish in her entire life.

ABILITIES: As Maxwell, the Lord of Spirits, Mill is able to cast spirit artes. These are basically elemental spells that can be used for mundane things (like lighting a lantern) or less mundane things (like setting enemy monsters on fire). Casting a spirit arte is accomplished by producing mana through one's mana lobe, and then channeling the elemental spirits of the world who feed on that mana and requesting (via an incantation) for them to cast the elemental spell. Milla specializes in fire, wind and light magic, although she is able to cast spells spanning the entire elemental spectrum. Her mystic arte, Elemental Mastery, is basically an arte where she casts fire, water, wind and earth spells one after the other.

Milla is also an accomplished swordsman. And, as Maxwell, Milla is also constantly accompanied by the Four Great Spirits of her world-- Efreet, Undine, Sylph and Gnome. She has the ability to channel these spirits and use their power to fight whenever she pleases. These four spirits aren't necessarily physically present whenever Milla is, but they can manifest spells into the physical world whenever she channels them, and may appear next to her briefly during said spell before they disappear again. She can also speak with them even when they aren't physically present.

Milla will arrive still accompanied by Sylph and Undine, but will have to locate Efreet and Gnome through missions at a later time. Since none of her magic is really game breaking (all it does is make her a formidable fighter), I don't intend to power cap any of it.

INVENTORY: Her sword and sheath (the Balanced Blade), the empty shell of her aspyrixis, a few apple gels

MEMORY ALTERATION: In order to make her more compliant with the game's premise (and to keep her from being a determinator about getting home to complete her mission), Milla will remember feeling an overpowering sense that the spirits and humans of her world were in danger again immediately after returning to the spirit world. She'll remember passing through a portal made of white light, knowing that she had to in order to go wherever she needed to go to help said spirits and humans, and then everything will go black. Afterwards, she'll wake up in underwater sea land, without concrete knowledge of what she has to do here but with a strong feeling that she is here for a purpose related to her desire to protect.

SAMPLE: Test Drive (The sample is 15+ comments, but! let me know if it's too short or if you need moreand I'll write up a traditional one as well ;;/)

IC INFORMATION
NAME: Marinette Dupain-Cheng | Miraculous Ladybug
AGE: 14-15
CANON: Miraculous Ladybug
CANON POINT: Just at the end of Volpina, as she's about to meet Master Fu
CANON INFORMATION: Wiki and Marinette's page

PERSONALITY: Fighting evil by moonlight, winning love by--- wait, wrong magical girl show. Ahem. Marinette is an optimistic, kind, girl in middle school with a penchant for being irrational and clumsy -- I swear this isn't Sailor Moon.

So, Marinette! As one would expect from a protagonist in a superhero genre, she has a civilian identity and a superhero identity - and naturally, she has difficulty juggling her duties as a superheroine and student. As Marinette, she's kind, absent-minded, optimistic, a natural leader, enthusiastic about fashion and always ready to lend a hand or sass if necessary. She's a naturally supportive person who tries to make the people around her happy, occasionally at her own expense. She does, however, possess several quirks: on top of being forgetful, embarrassingly clumsy and, frankly, just embarrassing at times - Marinette has a tendency to be awkward and nervous if thrown a curveball, especially if that curveball happens to be one Adrien Agreste, who she has a massive teenage crush on. Marinette becomes so nervous around Adrien that she constantly mixes up words, stammers and struggles to have a basic conversation with him. While this behavior mainly manifests with Adrien, (due to said absolutely gigantic and all-encompassing crush), it can happen in other situations where she's nervous or anxious to please whoever she's with. Additionally, as a superhero barely juggling her double life, she tends to disappear frequently or arrive late to various events and class, with barely believable explanations or none at all. Aside from complicating her own life, this tends to exasperate her parents and her best friend, and lead them to think of her as severely air-headed at times.

As Ladybug, Marinette is far more confident and comes off as much more capable. Marinette's best qualities: natural cleverness, courage, and quick-thinking really shine, and Ladybug is a staunch protector of Paris and quick to quash any wrongdoing. Despite her kindness, she's no pushover. Ladybug is very pragmatic - she understands the gravity of her position and hides her identity zealously, even if it means deceiving her loved ones. She will also defeat akuma through any practical means - whether it's using her partner's hand to smash the item it's in or a civilian's whole body. Speaking of her partner, Chat Noir - they're constantly described as being 'made for one another', which is far truer than Marinette realizes. Unbeknownst to her, her wise-cracking, flirtatious, pun-loving teammate is actually the object of her affections, Adrien. And while she pines after Adrien and struggles to string two words together around him, she, while prone to some superhero bantering and a smidge or ten of flirting, generally brushes of Chat's consistent advances and attempts to charm her. While she can sometime undermine him as a partner or ignore his sound advice, they work extremely well together. They're almost always in on the same wavelength and when given even vague instructions, he will instantly figure out what she needs from him and do it. While she is often frustrated or exasperated by him, she trusts and values him very deeply. In a webisode Marinette even admits she would consider him as a romantic partner if Adrien didn't exist, before panicking at the thought of Adrien not existing.

Both as Ladybug and as Marinette, she has a strong sense of justice, will fearlessly stand up to villains or bullies to protect others, very passionately. While Marinette tries to tone down her person feelings and act as she believes as a hero should while Ladybug, she can be reckless, quick to lose her temper, and occasionally lets her personal feelings influence her superheroing (especially when it comes to one classmate in particular who is a huge bully). She isn't a perfect hero. Marinette has a deep hatred of liars, (something that causes her to lose her temper more than once) can become very jealous, single-minded, or blindsided by Adrien, and has the tendency to sometimes be self-righteous and/or shove her foot solidly in her mouth. While she isn't a malicious character, she can be brash, blunt and, at times, she acts thoughtlessly and hurts the people around her. Marinette's quick-thinking and active imagination can quickly turn into over-thinking - occasionally, her mind goes on wildly exaggerated tangents (or ridiculous daydreams) if things aren't going her way, especially where Adrien is concerned. These ridiculous daydreams or tangents are usually followed by her panicking over unrealistic scenarios, such as Adrien moving to Hollywood with a girl he literally just met.

Prior to becoming Ladybug, Marinette was constantly bullied by That One Popular Girl Chloe Bourgeois, and her low self-esteem and horrible luck meant she previously had not stood up to her. Upon becoming Ladybug, she began slowly developing confidence and learning to stand up for herself, but in her mini-crusade to stop Chloe's bullying, she sometimes crosses the line and acts similarly. She's also guilty of some other shifty actions: stealing phones, especially to cover up a mistake she made - and letting her infatuation with Adrien encompass and blind her, whether it's accusing everyone of theft aside from him, or plastering her room with pictures of him and copying his schedule. Her Kwami, Tikki, acts as her moral compass, especially in these off moments, and, thankfully, Marinette usually realizes she's right.

That isn't to say Marinette is a bad character; just a human one. While she makes mistakes and has flaws, she is able to admit to her own mistakes, puts the wellbeing and happiness of others before herself, and regularly risks her life to save Paris. Even if she slips, or loses confidence, or loses her temper and act boorishly, in the end, she always does her best to make amends and apologizes for her wrong actions. It's important to note that Marinette always takes responsibility for her poor behavior.

On that note, even if she may act confident (and certainly, being the heroine of Paris means she's been slowly gaining some real confidence), Marinette has poor self-esteem and doubts herself regularly over the course of the series. At first, she even refuses to be Ladybug and nearly gives up several times in her first stint because she believes she'll fail. With the encouragement of Chat Noir and Tikki, she is able to push past it (to an extent), but the doubts linger throughout the first season. She's also known to be unable to say no to anyone, something that hasn't changed.

ABILITIES: Using her earrings and Tikki, her kwami, Marinette has the power to transform into the superhero, Miraculous Ladybug. As Ladybug, she's faster, stronger, more resilient, and capable of more feats, such as parkour. Her suit absorbs damage and allows her to take falls or scrapes that otherwise might be lethal. She's equipped with a magic yo-yo that functions as a weapon, a grappling hook of sorts, a communicator, a tracker, a tiny magic super computer, akuma purifier, and even a shield if she swings it quickly enough. As Ladybug, she has two special abilities related to good luck/creation:

Lucky Charm: Ladybug has the ability to manifest an item out of thin air that will help her out of any situation. Most of the times, the item is not a straightforward solution to the situation she's in, rather, Ladybug has to use creative thinking in conjunction with the item to resolve it. Also, once this power is used, Ladybug has five minutes before she's detransformed.

Miraculous Ladybug: This ability cannot be used without her first using Lucky Charm, but once she has, she's able to use this move to repair damage done to buildings or people by the akuma she fights -- restoring everything to their natural order. As Paris tends to get torn up during her fights, after she's used Lucky Charm, she tosses the item received up in the air and calls out "Miraculous Ladybug", causing a swarm of ladybugs to fly up and repair the damage and replace misplaced people and items, every episode.

As Marinette, she's a very talented fashion designer and artist. She's able to create things like hats, bags, special sunglasses, a rock album, a sticker designed to smell like sweat and rock and roll, all in a matter of hours. She wins contests, gets the attention of celebrities, and is even commissioned for her work. She's also talented at sketching and otherwise creative. Marinette is very ingenuitive, great at problem-solving, and quick-thinking.

INVENTORY: Her miraculous earrings, which allow her to turn into Ladybug. Coming along with the earrings is a magical creature called a Kwami, Tikki, who gives her her powers and acts as her advisor.

Aside from that, her clothing, her bags, a handful of cookies for Tikki, her sketchbook, her cellphone, and some sewing materials.

MEMORY ALTERATION: So Chat Noir and Ladybug are apping together, and we'll be sharing the memory alternation for both characters.

Papillon, the villain of Miraculous Ladybug, has fled Paris to his secret lair. Our heroes, Ladybug and Chat Noir, follow him through a portal that leads them to Subnautica -- but not out. They can tell from arrival that Papillon's lair is somewhere in the underwater space planet, so until they find him, they must stay in Subnautica to protect and help the people living here in any way they can -- while searching for him in the meantime.

IC INFORMATION
NAME: Adrien Agreste/Chat Noir
AGE: 15
CANON: Miraculous Ladybug (french dub)
CANON POINT: Post-season 1
CANON INFORMATION: wiki!

PERSONALITY: Personality: Things that have probably been said in-universe about Adrien Agreste: "beautiful cinnamon roll, too good for this world, too pure" "an actual disney princess" and "oh my god, could he be more perfect?". As the son and main model of fashion mogul Gabriel Agreste, Adrien seems like he has it all. Not only is he a rich and famous teen model with his face plastered all over Paris, but he's also completely humble about it. He's a hardworking, responsible kid who never complains no matter the long list of accomplishments his father expects him to go through while also going to middle school and doing part-time modelling. His demeanor is generally friendly if somewhat reserved, partially because he's shy and partially because he's spent most of his life locked away from the general public by his somewhat (incredibly, absolutely, 100%) overprotective dad, only meeting people his own age on a regular basis at the start of the series. He's charismatic and kind to everyone, always giving words of encouragement to those in need. So perfect. Such cinnamon.

So restricted and restrained by his absent and, it needs repetition, incredibly overprotective dad. Adrien spends most of his life trying to make his father happy and/or proud, not for any kind of acknowledgement of his efforts, but to get a modicum of affection from a very distant man. He's a lonely kid who craves affection and a "normal life", where he's free to just be a kid who hangs out with other kids and has fun. He's frustrated and saddened by his father's actions but doesn't let himself show it outside of a few moments of vulnerability, most of which are only seen by his best friend or his kwami. I wouldn't go so far as to call him a stepford smiler, because he does genuinely try to work past his issues, but he's very dismissive of his own problems. He is basically muting himself, only feeling comfortable telling off his dad with a mask on his face.

Speaking of masks! Adrien as Chat Noir is liberated. He's boisterous, joking, punning, never sitting still and always rushing into battle-- Adrien jumped on the chance of becoming a superhero so hard that he hit the switch without hearing the entire speech. He had an entire transformation sequence planned. (He's seen the animes. He is Ready.) As Chat Noir Adrien does and says whatever comes to mind without filtering himself, he's always brimming with confidence and takes most situation with a light-heartedness that probably drives Ladybug nuts. That, or it's his constant flirting. Still, he takes the job seriously, always listening to Ladybug's plans and changing himself when Paris needs him (even if Plagg would rather not, because he is a cat and cats are terrible). His change to Chat Noir doesn't diminish his innate kindness and concern for others, though, and he's the first to put himself in the line of fire to protect people, whether it be Ladybug or a civilian. He's playful and flirty, but doesn't push Ladybug further than she's okay with.

Comparing him to Ladybug, Chat Noir is more emotional and reckless in his actions, though he's also less likely to go off and insult civilians. He loves to joke around, even when his life would seemingly depend on him shutting the fuck up, thanks. It’s pointed out that he can be extremely annoying and, after a token objection, he concedes with a smile because he enjoys being allowed to be this annoying, for once in his life. Ladybug is the frontrunner and plans and thinks, so Chat Noir is the mouthy “muscle” (he weighs like five pounds, help him) who rushes in and doesn’t usually think things through even though he absolutely can. He just doesn’t want to. He’s also absolutely enamored with his partner, because she is Strong and Brave and Amazing and Miraculous please murder me. He’s aware of her flaws (like her stubbornness) and even seems to find those endearing if irritating. His flirting and banter with Ladybug is like, ninety percent of his Chat Noir persona. It’s a problem.

Adrien has a seemingly unending amount of understanding and patience, though it can be tested by people repeatedly pushing his buttons. Still, even when someone was proven to have lied to him repeatedly, he seemed more concerned with the why than the fact that they'd lied. He's not a full doormat, as he has called out people on their actions (including Ladybug), but he tries not to hold anger and resentment in himself. That isn’t to say he doesn’t have it; oh boy does he have it. His answer to not being 100% perfect in something is to question whether he’s a burden to his partner (... up to and including in video games, telling a friend she’d be better off without him even though IT IS A VIDEO GAME TOURNAMENT, oh my god), instead of trying to address his issues with his father Adrien lets them go and stews until he chooses to run away from home (twice, now, and that’s a bad pattern). The point being that Adrien tries to practice self-sacrifice until it becomes martyring himself over for no reason, and then overcompensates with selfish actions that are honestly… pretty childish.

Also he was literally locked in a tower and wants ~more than this life~ and has a disappeared mom and he is nice and understanding to everyone and doesn't let people see when he's upset. He's just literally a disney princess. But with more bad jokes and being a huge nerd who has no idea how to interact with kids his own age. ... Actually that last one is also a disney princess. Shit.

note: the difference between the french dub and english dub is mostly terminology afaik. I just. I really need the Chat Noir aesthetic instead of Cat Noir i’m sorry

ABILITIES: With his superhero/magical girl persona powers on, Chat Noir has enhanced strength, agility, and speed. The suit also grants him invulnerability to most physical blows, i.e.: he can be thrown around like a ragdoll across the city and survive. (The amount of all the previous varies depending on what the plot needs because this is a show for children.) He also has an enhanced sense of smell and hearing, night vision, and super stealth. Because he is a cat. He also has one weapon, which is a magical staff that can extend to any length, duplicate itself (??), produce… magical… trackers (???) and serves as a magic communication device. His last power is called “cataclysm”, where basically once activated anything he touches with his right hand is destroyed/ruined in some way. It’s a one-use power, though, because once he uses it he has five minutes before he detransforms and then he has to feed his magical cat cheese. And. I don’t know how available cheese is underwater.

He has a knack for physics as himself but I don’t know if that would be in any way useful here. I don’t know how physics are actually applied in real life?? I just. Figured I’d mention that??

INVENTORY: - Miraculous Ring: it’s the magical jewelry that allows him to transform into a magical girl superhero and gives him all the abilities I just painstakingly listed
- Plagg: a creature known as a kwami who … also allows Adrien to turn into a magical girl. It’s a talking floaty cat fairy so I guess that counts as a pet? Except Plagg hides all the time because of secret identity shenanigans.
- Marinette’s lucky charm: exactly what it says on the tin

NAME: Enkidu
AGE: Unknown? Probably appears to be in their late 20's
CANON: Fate/Series (Grand Order with more characterization from Strange Fake and Extra CCC)
CANON POINT: Post-Babbylonia
CANON INFORMATION: So for you! Enkidu's lines translated Fate/Strange Fake and Enkidu's past translated from Fate/Extra CCC

PERSONALITY: Enkidu is a tool and that's that. At least that's the simple viewpoint that they've taken for their entire life. It's not entirely accurate though.

The thing is that Enkidu does act a little like a robot. They speak sometimes as if they aren't even human, saying things like "Shutting down" and asking if they're receiving a version upgrade. Again and again, Enkidu insists to being a tool and nothing more. A tool of the gods first and then a tool of humanity (and Gilgamesh) by choice. A tool is useful when serving a purpose and that's about it. Enkidu needs direction and guidance from others to know what to do and when. These robot-like qualities overtake most of their drive in life, if it can even be called life.

But Enkidu does still grow bored or lonely or happy. These emotions still exist, even if they're more muted than most. They still have so much left inside them to tell Gilgamesh that when their body is possessed by another soul, that person feels the same deep affection and need for friendship. Enkidu tells their master when they feel lonely, knowing that they can't grow the same way humans can grow spiritually and emotionally. Yet this itself proves how Enkidu longs for something more and could have it if they just stopped thinking of theirself as a tool. They even display intense anger when their master is hurt in Fate/Strange Fake and it's worth noting the famous "throw a cow at a god" incident did indeed happen for this Enkidu.

Most of all Enkidu is still, at heart, a wild child. The same one that tore through forests and deserts with animals. They know now the wisdom of humans and the pleasures of that world but it's mixed with their love of nature. They wish to still fall asleep beside rivers as much as they want to sleep in comfortable bedding. It's made them into something not quite a beast, nor quite a tool or a human. Enkidu is something of a lonely existence that can't be compared easily to anyone else.

That is precisely why their friendship with Gilgamesh was so important and how it gave them ties to humanity as a whole. Gilgamesh understands being something else, not human nor god nor animal. Finding people like this is something Enkidu needs and indeed considers Gilgamesh to be their only friend, though it's important to note that the Holy Harlot who took Enkidu in was their first love. The people of Uruk loved Enkidu deeply and in return Enkidu saw them trough their own eyes and through Gilgamesh's and learned to love them, too. This is why Enkidu walks the path beside mankind so willingly, despite how it caused their death. Even knowing they would die with regrets, they still wanted to spend their life with Gilgamesh and his people.

There's not much else to tell. Enkidu is a simple person. A tool of humans who loves them and nature dearly, who looks favourably upon those who are rejected from the bonds of society and someone who wants to help others. Enkidu enjoys life and enjoys pleasures as much as they enjoy nature. Being born again as a servant is a second chance, one Enkidu feels is fate itself taking them back to Gilgamesh and humans and one they are happy to have.

ABILITIES:
Transfiguration: They are made of clay and because of this can shapeshift and create things out of themselves. They shapeshifted into animals of all varities in their fight with Gilgamesh while in regular battle summon chains, blasts of light and feathers to fight with. These are just a few examples but in general they can create whatever they have the clay for (which. it's implied they have got a lot of clay so).

Servant Side: Enkidu has something called Presence Detection (rank A+) and Perfect Form. Presence Detection allows exactly what it sounds like and it's rank means it's basically impossible to hide from Enkidu. It also allows Enkidu to find sources of nature like rivers, forests, etc from great distances. Perfect Form allows them to recover and restore their body endlessly as long as there is a supply of energy in the land.

Noble Phantasm: Enuma Elish (O Man, Let Us Bind the Gods Above) is Enkidu's Noble Phantasm, basically a mega-attack in which they become a shooting star of light and chains. Naturally because this is a really, really strong attack, doing it would exhaust them and their mana supply.

Other: As a being caught somewhere between nature and man, they are capable of talking to animals and understanding them. They have an unusually high resistance against magic and magical spells. Also, apparently, an excellent singer.

INVENTORY: Literally just themselves and the robe they wear.

MEMORY ALTERATION: They just. Think this is part of the Fate/Bullshit and that they were summoned here by their master.

SAMPLE: here and here!

IC INFORMATION
NAME: John Egbert
AGE: 20
CANON: HOMESTUCK
CANON POINT: Act 7
CANON INFORMATION: http://mspaintadventures.wikia.com/wiki/John_Egbert

PERSONALITY: First impressions of John go a long way and those that meet him might not expect much from the calm, joke cracking and card slinging, disguise wearing goofball. It turns out that time spanning and world ending conflicts are more than enough to turn a goof into something vaguely resembling a hero.

Luckily for the fate of his kind and all others, it is not these qualities that make him a leader to his friends, though they do make him much more than that. John is unbelievably kind, forgiving most people for arguably shitty things they've done, like how Terezi caused a John in a different timeline to die by accelerating him to his denizen before he was ready to deal with him.

More so than most of his friends, John has a bad tendency to do what he's told with few complaints or objections. This was rather distinct in the past when he was naive, and while not largely a problem anymore, John still has a tendency to believe in the good of people first, and worry about betrayal when it comes later. He acts oblivious, and at times, can be near-sighted when it comes to the intentions of others in a more genuine sense, but when he observes enough of someone's behaviour, he will not forget it. His denying Vriska the ring in response to seeing what she was capable of is a prime example of such.

And as shown later, John is very quick to forgive. After saving an alternate Vriska from her fate, he returned to friendlier terms with her. Not that he was even angry at her to begin with, but he certainly didn't trust her as much. By extension of his ability to mostly learn from past mistakes (Mostly), John can be quite serious and very capable when he puts his mind to an action. Mastering his wind powers by drilling a hole in Skaia, mastering the powers granted to him by 'the treasure' and spreading the oil that would have drowned him, across the galaxy.

John's friendly demeanour allows him to make friends very easily despite all the circumstances presented to the contrary. John will by default, believe in the best in people he meets. So when perhaps a normal person might ignore Terezi, or Karkat, or Vriska out of caution for their antics, he persists to be friendly with them. It does not always pay off, but it does inevitably end with him being on friendly terms with all of them. It also helped him better understand what sort of culture they came from where these sorts of things made a lot more sense.

A problem, and this has shown itself a few times in the shape of a few melt-downs, is that John hasn't found a healthy way to deal with negative emotions. Sadness, anger and despair are repressed until they finally hit a breaking point resulting in a spasm of emotions, usually some manner of frantic outburst depending on the exact scenario. He always seems to bounce back eventually, but has not yet learned how to deal with these things in a much healthier way beyond pretending that they don't exist.

ABILITIES:
Wind Control: John possesses the ability to manipulate air/wind in a variety of ways. The most profound use of his powers was manipulating the wind into a force powerful enough to drill its way into the core of a planet. The extent of his control of wind seems only limited by his imagination, as he can seemingly mask his presence with the wind and create a force of it powerful enough to levitate objects otherwise incapable of flight, like a car.
The Treasure Power: After coming into contact with an item known as "The Treasure", John was given a new ability that seemingly gave him the power to teleport from place to place and also at different points in time. It's a power that he had no control of at first, and it seemed to merely teleport him at random to different time frames. After meeting his denizen and nearly dying from drowning, John was forced to gain control over it quickly lest be succumb to his fate. Apparently, he can also teleport other things alongside just himself.
God-Tier: John is God-Tier which means he has the natural gift of flying in addition to a couple of other benefits that are best outlined here

INVENTORY:
Hammer of Zillyhoo
Honestly, I cannot for the life of me recall as there is no immediate recollection of it, but I assume John has some gag items and maybe a few other knick-knacks. Likely nothing crucial.

MEMORY ALTERATION: It occurred immediately after opening the door to end their session. John found himself waking up in Iniidae rather than in their galaxy.
