URSULA is usually available for brief contact. Consider this her inbox. Although she may be busy ICly doing something at the time, she can usually spare some time to answer something.

Alternately, you can link to a thread where she is being called upon. Note that she may ignore these calls or contacts dependent on her mood. Don't worry if she ignores you once or twice, as she will sometimes comment on open posts or make broadcasts to everyone.

Please label the day and time of the contact in the subject header.

For those curious, her voice sounds similar to this.

If any players wish to contact Naoko and her group, they are free to use this page. They will have to take the three hour trip by air or sea as there is currently no long-range communication in place for them. Please specify in the header that it is Naoko you are trying to reach and not URSULA, in this case, as well as labeling the date you are contacting the group.

There has to be a hierarchy of command. Right? Does your personal crew rank above individuals on other missions?

A crew member with no command designation is ranked as a civilian and commands from civilians rank lower than commands from assigned personnel. In the event that only civilians are present and no members of the Altera Science Group can be contacted, all commands are considering of equal weight. If a civilian displays promise and there is a need, temporary rank can be assigned for the sake of safety and smooth operations. Once an Altera Science Group member arrives, please stand by for further instructions.

[ She drones it out without any particular emotion attached to it. When she speaks again, she's back to normal. ]

[Shit. Naoko will automatically outrank him, and there's no way for him to secure a higher position in the chain of command than hers, he is pretty sure.]

[He fills out the form studiously. He shouldn't have to back up the identity very far, and he assumes URSULA will deliberately not look at the sections that should be false by necessity. It doesn't really feel like dishonesty in terms of setting out his qualifications. He does, after all, have more experience than most, and he's already worked extensively with AIs in salvaging situations.

He waits a few extra moments after inserting all the data. Then he wakes up URSULA.]

They only told me there was a marker so no one would forget. I guess they didn't plan to leave me alone. I do know my servers would take up two rooms on this base, so we really don't have room for them here.

There are three positions: Systems Operator, Captain and Commanding or Acting Captain. In order, it goes Captain, Commanding or Acting Captain and Systems Operator.

[He would be a terrible captain, but if the Aurora Captain turns up alive somewhere he is not letting 'em at URSULA. He can just refuse to do anything with the position ever.
