[ the khaara on this island are probably used to seeing one or ten daves around at once, with all his time looping. regardless, whenever dave lands, he always makes sure to say hello to everyone. by name. sure, they might have some weird hive mind (he's not entirely clear on that) but the once-light-frogs deserve to be individuals too and he's a friendly guy. he does also always go looking for p diddy, either by asking around or going to spots he knows the guy hangs out, but he's not in a rush about it.

Oh! Oh my, that's so... well you're not wrong that I would love for them to get married! Then we'd have two weddings coming up and that would be wonderful, wouldn't it? [ so it takes about a week more or less to get out to p diddy's place but may have taken longer because > lava vents or maybe it will take longer on the way back. the island has a large crashed ship on it and is populated by p diddy, red eyes (who were. light frogs once goddamnit dave), these things, and whatever the fuck these are. there's lots of apple trees and some orange trees and other plants because ??? dave is helping ??? and a lot of moss. just so dirk knows what the hell he is seeing.
dave has given pretty much every kharaa a name because lbr of course he has, and he's completely comfortable landing on the beach and asking the nearest red eye where p diddy's at and also pointing up at dirk and mentioning that's the bro he brought along who everyone agreed to, you know, not try to host. also he brought gifts. so did dirk!!!
